OUR HOUSE, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE...

Okay family, you asked, so I delivered. I know the title is lame, but I just couldn't help myself. Please try to keep in mind that these photos were taken when we just moved in...pre-decor and all, And the front of our house looks so much better (grass cut and greener/fuller now, weeds gone, trash kept in garage, etc). So here you go, our house.

I have had a mind block trying to figure out what to do with this room...the fire-place/book shelf area...I think I have finally come up with something (pottery barn inspired but much cheaper and using things I already own or can make). However, it probably won't be completed until the end of September to middle of October (when we have more funds at our disposal)...I will definitely post some before and after pics.

Finally a kitchen that will fit more than one person!! There are already things that drive me crazy about this one...but I'll deal because it's the best I've had so far!

And that's really the most important stuff...well at least the things I had photos of.

A FEW UPDATES

I can't believe that summer is almost over. I feel like it has just begun for us. Here are a few updates on what we've been doing (with a few pics, because posts are just too boring if it is just words...for me at least.)

Tim: Has decided that since the job market is so crummy, he will definitely be doing the advanced LLM degree in Tax Law. He is still looking for a job...but will only work part time with school starting on the 8th of September. For now, he is trying to relax and really take advantage of his last free summer before he has to join the real world. His latest love is to take drives and see the beautiful Colorado scenery.

Me: I've been staring at my screen trying to decide what to write now for a few minutes...and nothing comes to mind...I really just try to keep up with my crazy kiddos and keep them entertained with activities and outings (mostly to the park and library)...my life revolves around them for the time being and I love it!

Rylan: is talking so well these days...I have to remind myself that he is only 2 1/2 sometimes. He just keeps us laughing all the time with the funny things he says. I pulled out my nail polish and he asked what it was, so I told him and later he told his daddy that it was nail "conshulance"???? He really likes to steal my camera and take very random photos, some of which are a little embarrassing. (just so you know, it is a fruit loop smooshed into Cameron's leg)

Cameron: is getting close to crawling. He'll lunge forward and get into the crawl position...but then he just gets upset because he can't move (and he wants to so bad!) He eats constantly and always makes us smile...he is a sweetie.

Something to SMILE about

My 2 1/2 year old finally giving up his binkie


We threw a "Big Boy Party" for Rylan this past week so that he would finally give up the binkie. I figured it was time since it had a hole and he was still using it. If I were a little more on top of things I would have given him an invitation and the whole works...to get him really excited about it. Instead, we talked about it for a few weeks and then when the big day came we had a pizza party complete with home-made root-beer (compliments of daddy), cookies, balloons, and a "big boy" present. He was thrilled. He has asked for the binkie since then but then we ask him where it went and he tells us all about the party and how he let his binkie go up into the sky with the balloons.
