Wild mustangs roam around the north tip of the outer banks and we were lucky enough to walk right up to the beach they were on!

Everybody at the beach. Rylan was under an umbrella sleeping when we took the photo op. We went at prime time because all of the beaches were almost empty so we had it mostly to ourselves!

Road Trip!

After Tim finished his finals we took a road trip with his sister and her family (the Coopers) down to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. We had such a blast! Although the car ride was aproximately 9 hrs one way, it was worth it and much needed! We enjoyed a few beach days, miniature golf, "real" golf, light houses, wild horses, date nights and more! Our baby at 6 months

Rylan at SIX months--here's what he's up to (just typical six month old stuff, but it's new to us so we think it's fun):

• Rylan's new show off trick is doing the motor boat noise with his tongue. Unfortunately, (for laundry purposes) he gets drool all down the front of him.
• He sits up by himself fairly well now.
• He rolls from back to tummy, then tummy to back all the time.
• We often find him sideways and on his tummy when we go in to check on him during his naps or in the morning.
• Generally, he seems happier, smiley, and always hungry.
• He attacks any toy we put in front of him.
• He loves strings and hangy things, like the string on the hood of our sweatshirts, the ties on the padding of his highchair, Kimberly's earrings, etc.
• He likes to give Mommy kisses.
• His hair is as red as ever.
• No sign of teeth yet, but he loves to drool and put everything in his mouth.
• He loves attention and he thinks he is quite funny.
• He absolutely loves being outside.
• He is often totally uninterested in his food, but is intrigued by Mom and Dad's. He seems to have a special interest in pizza.

That's about all we can think of right now. He is sure a blessing to us and we love him to death.

Happy Birthday Tim!

Yes that's right...Tim is another year older! I can't believe that he is 27! I know that I am an excellent mathmetician, but that is getting frighteningly close to 30! His birthday was on Mothers Day...which was hard to share, of course because I wanted the focus all on me! (Really it was because I wanted to focus on him and he was focusing on me--ah well.) We ended the day with the amazing "ghetto cake". Basically it was a 4 layer chocolate cake that was falling over to one side with not enough frosting to go around and 3 tea light candles that Tim blew out with his nose just by breathing before we sang Happy Birthday. Funny days. Happy birthday to my wonderful hubby! I love you!

Feeding the Nation

One last picture from the zoo. So I really do think this pig could feed a nation. It was absolutely ginormous!!! And quite frankly, it was terrifyingly ugly...but what pig isn't.

Turtle Back Zoo

Rylan's first trip to the zoo! Of course I enjoyed it much more than he did! Having kids is the best excuse to go! We enjoyed a little train ride, looking at horses and bears, and of course we had to imitate being a ground hog!

After the race, we enjoyed walking through Central Park and seeing some of the sites there including Belvedere Castle.

NYC 5K

Rylan and I traveled down to New Jersey for a week and a half while Tim stayed at home for his 1st year of law school finals. While we were there we took a day trip into the city with Blake and Jen Cooper to participate in the NYC Revlon Run/Walk 5K. The race started in Times Square and went up through Central Park. It was so much fun! It was more of a walk than anything else. There were so many people that we couldn't jog if we wanted to. Of course, Jen and I were both in sweats and dying of heat...silly us! Oh well, you live and learn. We were just glad to actually be doing the race...this is something I have wanted to do for a long time, but just never had. It was definitely worth the money and I plan on doing it again next year!
