MAY - PART 4

THE WEDDING

Getting old and overwhelming yet - only one more update after this...but this is a long one...sorry.

The reason we went to Utah was for a good Pettitt family friends wedding. My kids call him "Uncle Jeff" since he is practically part of the Pettitt family. And since I love to take pictures...this was the perfect opportunity. Sorry for the randomness of the photos - some of us, some of the happy couple, some of wedding stuff - just random.

MAY - PART 3

IN MY NEXT 30 YEARS...
Highlight of the month...my sweetheart turned 30!

No, that is not a typo...my husband really did turn 30 this year...I know, I'm married to an oldly moldy...but apparently 30 is the new 20 these days.

Since Tim isn't big into parties and crowds like I am, I opted for a more relaxing birthday. We were in Utah and my dear, sweet sister-in-law offered to babysit the kiddos. We went to lunch at Tocanos (delic!) and then we were off for a couples' massage and facial. I wanted to take more pictures than I did, but obviously didn't. It was fabulous! Happy birthday to my sweet EC! Love you babe!



That evening, we had a family party for all of the May birthdays in my family. My brother turned 30 this year as well and so I had a few things in mind for the the big 3 - 0 get together.

30 years - 30 balloons
Everyone wrote a birthday wish on a card and tied it to a balloon. At the end of the night, we released the balloons and our wishes!



And just for kicks...the bouquet for the birthday guy!

MAY - PART 2

CINCO DE MAYO

I really wanted to do a Cinco De Mayo party this year. But with finding out that we had to move at the end of the month and going to Utah, it just wasn't going to happen. The day of I decided to make it fun anyway so I threw together some last minute decorations, whipped up a super easy pinata (kid friendly project!) and we had the fabulous homemade Cafe Rio recipe! Yay for the 5th of May!




Taking a whack at the pinata...again, notice the tongues! The pinata was seriously made from a paper bag stuffed with tissue paper and candy, stapled down, and then the boys glued cut tissue paper onto the outside...super simple, very quick and extremely fun!

WAAAAY BEHIND

We have been super busy as of late and thus I am extremely behind on blogging. I will separate May into parts so that I don't overwhelm!

MAY - PART 1 - THE BIRD HOUSE

Tim and Rylan made a bird house together a few weeks ago. The sparrows have found it and we have really enjoyed watching them enjoy it from the window. Unfortunately, all of my attempts to sneak up on the birds and take their picture have failed miserably, so you see the empty finished project. They did a wonderful job and Rylan is extremely proud of himself!
