OCTOBER - ish

Colorado is just beginning to feel like fall and yet October is almost over! We have had an eventful month with visitors, outings, and projects. There's always so much to do during autumn time. Here's what we've been doing:

CHOPPED: first off - I cut my hair - last time I didn't post any pictures and my family was upset - so this is for you fams. (sorry for the bad picture - it's the best we can do - I am not in too many pictures, I am the picture taker)


Our annual trip to Aspen (even better colors this year!) - and yes, another self-timer portrait of the family, pre-haircut - boo!



Pumpkin festival with an extra bonus - a very bumpy tractor hay ride


Projects galore - in fact, we started "preschool" (we meaning Mom, Rylan, and Cameron). We learn a letter on Tuesday and have a themed lesson on Thursday...the boys have really enjoyed it and like to play pretend school now. Note - please disregard the homeless looking children in this picture - let's face it, I don't get them dressed unless we have somewhere to go.


Apple Cider Days: Grandpa and Grandpa Anderson came for a visit and took us to cider days. Rylan had his face painted for the first time - he was unsure of the whole experience and darn near broke down - but thought he was pretty cool afterward. Cameron just shoveled anything he could into his mouth the whole time. Thanks for the visit mom and dad!




I'll stop there - more activity planning to do!!! Birthdays are coming up! YAY!!

BOO!

Of course since fall is my favorite season, it would make sense that Halloween would be a favorite holiday. I have been wanting to throw a Halloween party for a few years and finally got my opportunity this year. Here are some pictures from the night. Sorry for the random order. I didn't get pictures of all the guests (costumes were required - and they were all so cute!) But I did get a picture of my cute cowboys! I was a cow and they were the cows' boys! The menu was soup in bread bowls and salad and an array of ghoulishly great desserts! We had a balloon craft for the kids and the adults played bingo. It was such a fun night! Thanks to everyone who came and made our night a blast!
