The term exploring typically means for me a very long and boring car ride, and then my bladder somehow finds a way to save the day and we rush home just in time for me to visit the lu. However, we started out prepared for the exploration with a blanket and picnic lunch, a football, an empty bladder and a happy attitude. For Rylan, the trip meant a sweet ride in his new car seat...what could be better...(ps. he got too big for his old one and the health insurance we have provides free ones so we snatched up that offer in a hurry and now he has a really big boy car seat.) Anyway, once on our way, we thought we found the perfect park. Wrong! It was a really ghetto one, right by the freeway, with graffiti and to top it all off a scary looking guy hitting golf balls...right...like we were going to stay there. As we drove away, I of course cried to Tim, wondering why he brought me to ghetto land. However, he saved the day and we happened upon a beautiful state park with hiking and gorgeous views of the valley below. Just a side note, we don't have mountains in MA, just really big hills...this one was called Mt. Tom. We enjoyed our picnic and the afternoon in the shade of a tree and now plan to revisit the park...of course with tic spray. PS...sorry for the novel!

awwww.... i feel for you Kimberly. I'm a little nervous about the area we're moving to. Doug goes to alabama next weekend to find us a house and our idea's of a "safe neighborhood" are a bit different. But it's not forever. That's cool you found a pretty park and a free car seat! you can't beat that!!! How did Rylan grow out of his car seat? Too Tall or weighs to much? Cause we're trying ot figure that out with Nixon, his feet hang over the edge sometimes and I wonder if we need to buy him a new one.
Aw - cute, cute boys. It was sure fun to see you guys and explore the rose garden in Hartford. Glad you found a nice, safe park up by your house. Rylan's car seat looks great! What a deal!
